The "hermo" rug uses a coded representation to illustrate the nationwide distribution of Spotify listenership of "hermo". By analyzing location-based listener data, a meaningful heat map was created that illustrates not only the geographical distribution, but also the intensity of listener interest in different regions. Each square of the rug represents the origin of the listeners and visualizes a specific minimum number of listeners in different colors. In this way, the rug not only offers an aesthetic view of "hermo's" nationwide listenership, but also provides information about the popularity and geographical reach of the music in different parts of the country.
